Nick Lachey Auctions Himself Off For Charity

Jessica Simpson’s ex-husband Nick Lachey is putting himself up for auction - all in the name of charity.

The singer is offering himself up for a dream dinner date to raise money for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, which aims to keep instrumental music education programmes up and running in schools.

The highest bidder and a pal will be flown to Los Angeles, where Lachey will wine and dine them. The lucky pair will also be put up in a luxury hotel for a night and sent on a $500 (£330) shopping spree as part of the grand prize.

Bidding on the online auction kicked off on Monday and ends on 1 October.

Nick And Vanessa Got Married!

Rumors are saying that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo got married this weekend. Having the wedding reception at one of the Carlyle Hotels in the Bahamas with friends and family according to recent reports of Fox News.

“Pop singer Lachey and his MTV star girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo will be married in a secret ceremony at one of the Carlyle Hotels in the Bahamas this weekend, a source told FOXNews.com's Pop Tarts columnist Hollie McKay.

Minnillo's entourage arrived at the dazzling digs Friday afternoon, the source said.

Reps for the comely couple could not be reached.

Lachey, 34, was previously married to Jessica Simpson, and starred with her in the hit MTV reality show "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica."

Earlier this year, Simpson said she was stung when Lachey jumped back into dating after their high-profile breakup."

"Oh, it hurt me," the 27-year-old singer-actress said in an interview in the March issue of Elle magazine. "Two or three weeks later? Yeah, I'd say it kind of hurt me."
