Loss: Financially-troubled Kerry Katona has sold her Cheshire home at a £200,000 loss


She is drug-free, living a fit and healthy lifestyle and enjoying a career revival.

So it understandable that Kerry Katona would want to be free once and for all from the home she shared with the man she blames for the darkest period in her life, ex Mark Croft.

Kerry has finally sold the Wilmslow mansion the couple lived in during their marriage, but the financially-troubled star has suffered a £200,000 loss on the sale.


The 30-year-old Dancing On Ice contestant purchased the Cheshire mansion in 2007 for £1,225,000, according to the Mirror.

She is finally rid of the home, filled with painful memories, but made a substantial loss in the deal after accepting £1,025,000.

The reality star is currently renting a £3 million mansion in Surrey for a staggering £5,500 a month.

The six-bedroom boasts an indoor swimming pool, gym, spa and cinema room.

She moved into the house in February after agreeing to share the rent with her management Can Associates and the move was chronicled in her ITV2 show Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter.

Kerry sold her five-bedroom, red-brick pile in Wilmslow to footballer Glenn Whelan, the Mirror reports.

It holds bad memories for the star - the bathroom was the setting of her infamous cocaine-snorting video in 2009 and in 2007 she was held captive in the house by three armed burglars.

A spokesperson for Katona was unavailable for comment.

Split: Kerry Katona's ex Dan Foden reveals he broke up with the reality star because he 'can't live in that showbiz bubble'


He may have made a name for himself as a contestant on Take Me Out, but Kerry Katona's ex says he couldn't handle living his life in the 'showbiz bubble.'

After the pair's split, the 27-year-old has opened up about his discomfort with the constant attention, Kerry's 'fake' friends and their relationship away from the media.

'I've been to university, I'm a qualified chartered surveyor. I don't want to give that up just be known as Mr Kerry Katona,' Dan insists.


In an interview with Reveal, Foden says: 'I feel really sorry for Kerry. She's a great girl, but I honestly think she's really lonely and a bit homesick. Everything she says seems to be geared towards publicity, but I find it embarrassing. I don't want to do any of that.

He adds: 'When I started seeing her, I was just concentrating on Kerry. I'd met someone new and it was nice. Kerry is a lovely girl. But I'm just a normal bloke. I'm not the next Jack Tweed.'

The former dating show contestant also blames Kerry's life in the spotlight for the reason for the split. 'Kerry's world is just too mad,' he told the magazine. She's a lovely girl, but I can't live in that showbiz bubble.'

'We'd only been on one or two dates but next things I know I'm her boyfriend. There was no grey period.

'There was no getting to know each other... If you're seeing Kerry there's no way you can be normal.'

'I really wasn't comfortable. Kerry told me: "Just don't do anything different, be yourself". But I was mindful of everyone watching us. It was awkward.'

When we were on our own, inside the four walls, things were great. We have a similar sense of humour and had a good laugh.

'I think she's a great girl but it's a total clash of worlds and I couldn't see it working out.'

Dan's account of being uncomfortable in front of the cameras appears to clash with a tabloid paper's recent allegations that he was only dating the mother-of-four to raise his profile.

The News Of The World claimed earlier this month that Warrington-born Dan was still in a secret relationship with girlfriend Katie Wray and was using Katona to find fame and launch a modelling career.

The paper quoted Dan telling pals: ‘It’s all made up rubbish. I’ve not been s****ing her. I’ve got this model thing, that’s all I want to do.’

‘If it f*****g gets me where I need to get I will do, won’t I?’

On a family trip to an amusement park, there are a lot of factors to consider, such as who will hold the bags while everyone is on the rides, who will take the photographs to capture the family outing.

Kerry Katona and her daughters had no such problem when they visited Alton Towers resort this week.

The trio were trailed by their ever-present film crew, who helpfully chronicled every fun-filled moment for Katona's ITV2 reality series.

Kerry treated her two eldest children, Molly, nine, and Lilly-Sue, eight, to a day at the amusement park, where the screamed themselves silly on the roller-coasters.

The 30-year-old was stylish for the girls day out in a khaki skinny trousers, brogues and a leather jacket.

The trio left Kerry's other children, Heidi, four, and Max, who turns three today, at home for their outing, which fans will be able to watch in an upcoming episode of her fly-on-the-wall show Kerry Katona: The Next Chapter.

The series follows Kerry rebuilding her life and career after getting clean from drugs, including her stint on Dancing On Ice.

Perhaps Kerry just wanted some quality time with her girls in the midst of all the news stories circulating about the men in her life.

Kerry Katona snorts cocaine every day to deal with marriage failure pain

Kerry Katona has turned to drugs to blot out the pain of her failing marriage to Mark Croft, it has emerged.

According to a pal, the former Atomic Kitten star is snorting life-threatening mounds of cocaine everyday, reports the News of the World.

The pal said that the mother of four young children star also binges on amphetamines and anti-depressants.

And their destructive relationship has taken her to the brink of suicide as well, the pal added.

Katona told friends: “Cocaine is the only way I can function. It’s the only way I can get this sorted.”

A pal said: “Kerry is completely addicted to drugs. It is worse than ever and she is close to the edge. She takes them all day every day. She simply can’t cope without her fix.”

Katona, previously outed as a cocaine-user by her own mother Sue, claimed that she has been clean of drugs since she recovered from her split with former husband Brian McFadden, the father of her eldest children Molly, seven, and Lilly-Sue, six.

However, friends have revealed she has been dependent on cocaine since June last year following the death of her stepdad Arnie Ferrier.

One said: “When he died it really affected her and she turned to drugs then. It’s tragic. Kerry doesn’t have an off button.”

Pals revealed Katona’s cocaine intake rocketed earlier this month after a confrontation with Croft about her financial situation.

Kerry Katona to Get Her Boob Job Filmed

Pop singer Kerry Katona will get her boob job filmed for a reality show.

The 27-year-old singer's operation will be filmed for the MTV reality show Whole Again. Katona also said that she wouldn't be having any more plastic surgery, just the boob reduction.

"They have just got a bit out of control. I want to go to a DD. I'll stop there," the Mirror quoted her as saying.

Meanwhile, the former Atomic Kitten' group member claims that she's not bankrupt, even though she was declared so by London's High Court last week. She insists that the order is set to be annulled this week as the money is available, but just hadn't cleared in time for the deadline set by the authorities.

Katona had managed to reduce her 417,000 pounds tax bill to 82,000 pounds, but HM Revenue and Customs pressed ahead with the bankruptcy petition, which was first issued in January.

"Obviously I'm upset about it but it shouldn't have happened. I've been promised that it will be sorted out this week," she told Star magazine.

Katona also dismissed claims that her taxi driver husband Mark Croft was simply with her to sponge off her wealth.

"What's wrong with a woman being the main breadwinner? It's sexism. People have got it in their heads that he's bleeding me dry and just after my money," she said.
