Focused: Craig David who has admitted he has a 'fat kid' inside him pounded the pavements in Miami yesterday
In the past he has claimed that there is a ‘fat kid’ inside but admits he works hard to keep a toned physique.
And yesterday Craig David was spotted pounding the pavement in the sunshine in Miami – with his shirt off of course.
The Fill Me In singer is regularly spied indulging in a topless run but instead of his usual beach run he had ditched the sand in favour of the pavement as he worked up a sweat.
Chunky Craig: An 11-year-old Craig appearing in a church youth club production
Last month Craig was seen working out with British boxer David Haye and was seen exercising with his training team on Miami beach.
But while he didn’t have a friend to work out with yesterday Craig seemed absorbed and focused as he listened to music on an iPod shuffle.
He later revealed his track of choice to be Blackstreet’s song Before I Let You Go and he told his fans on Twitter he was going to listen to it on repeat during his cardio session.
Working up a sweat: Craig revealed he was listening a Blackstreet song on repeat as he ran on the pavement and his cardio session got his creative juices flowing as he finished off a song the next day
Dressed only in a pair of bright white shorts and sparkling matching trainers Craig was left glistening with sweat from the high Florida temperatures.
And it seemed that the cardio session helped to get his creative juices flowing and earlier today he managed to finish the second track off his latest album.
Last year the singer, who was chubby as a child, revealed he still suffered from cravings for fast food.
Have you been working out? Craig David showed off a toned physique that gave David Haye a run for his money as the pair trained together in Miami last month
He said: 'I'll eat three KFCs... I'll eat 12 buckets if you put them in front of me. Not 12 pieces, 12 buckets.
'I train hard, I work really hard. If you want to indulge in treats, then go for it.
'I was a fat kid growing up, who lost the weight, got himself together and now it's about consistency. But there's always a fat kid inside that's reaching out for Kentucky.'
