Ymm of the Week: Olivia Green

This Ymm of the week is actually a special type of post because Olivia did not come to us, her friend/business partner Casha referred her. Casha whom is a lovely woman herself described Olivia as not only a special friend but a selfless person who does any and everything for her children. NOW that is what we call a Mom in Motion! Olivia shows us that even in her darkest hours, she held her head high and patiently awaited the lighter days that happened to be the smiles of her children. *Small bio about yourself? Where do I start?  She hails from the Midwest.  She adores good food, good conversation, and a good cocktail!  She’s definitely into the social life!

*Current Occupation:  Staff Sergeant in the USAF

*Aspiring Occupation:  To be a certified make-up artist and own a business in makeup, doing fabulous makeup for the average, everyday woman, and prayerfully one day for top celebrities!

* A quote that inspires you: She didn’t have a quote, and I couldn’t pull one out of her, but we can go with this:  “I love the confidence that makeup gives me.” Tyra Banks.  I chose this quote because OG, like most women, get different personalities, depending on how she does her makeup!  (LOL)

* Hobbies and Interest: Make-up, make-up, make-up!!  Buying it, wearing it, and painting it on others… all things beauty is her modus operandi!  Being a fabulous mother!  Anything that her kids are interested in, music, sports, dance. whatever they love, she loves!

* What Parental advice could you give to other moms and or dads?:  you don’t get to take breaks from your children. No matter how hard things may get, you have to live for their happiness.You (have to) smile when you don’t want to for their sake, just to see them smile more!  

* What are some Trials and Tribulations that made you into the person you are today?:   As an active duty member of the Air Force, Olivia had to separate from her children for a year and take a tour in Korea. Having to be away from the kids for that long, having to trust someone with her children and simply the physical distance was the one of the hardest things she’s had to do in her life.  Dealing with the pain of not having what motivates her most, her kids not with her and not being able to do the little thing that only a mother can do, was definitely a learning experience and truly gave a deeper understanding of what sacrifice means.

*Why do you consider yourself an Ymm?: Olivia is a Ymm because she’s a self proclaimed fabulously single mom!  She’s is always on the grind to improve herself as well as providing a beautiful life for her children, all while looking amazing.
