Ymm Celebrates the Children! by: Ymm-Karina

"I believe the Children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way" is such a true statement. Our kids today are overstepping boundaries and excelling in every way and as Moms and Dads we need to pat ourselves on the back for giving them that extra push to achievement. The School year has finally come to an end and what a better way to close it out than celebrating our children. Ymm would like to acknowledge our Kids and other 'Young Moms in Motions children' in recognition of their accomplishments and announcements.

-On June 23,2009 Layla Pierre daughter of Ymm-Karina, received her 'Student of the Month' Certificate at Walnut Street Elementary School and will be attending 1st grade this Fall , she will also be celebrating her 6th birthday on July 8th -Congratulations & Happy birthday Layla!

-On June 19, 2009 Dilynn Blanco daughter of Ymm-Alyreche graduated from Kindergarten at 'Roosevelt Children's Academy Prep School' and will be attending 1st grade in the fall -Congratulations Dilynn! -and her son Rafael Blanco was awarded for' Social Studies' this year end of the quarter -Great Job Rafael!

-On July 16th Kaeon Zayd Johnson son of Ymm of the Month -Phateama Grier ,will be turning 1 years old and celebrating his 1st Birthday on July 19th. He also was accepted to 'Miss Shelly's Upward Prep School' -Way to Go Kaeon and Happy Birthday!

-On June 11, 2009 Jada Pearl daughter of Hope Wilson of Uniondale NY was featured in Hofstra University's 'Art Traveler Times ' paper, the article was titled 'Amazing Finds by 3rd Grade Art Travelers’. On June 27, 2009 her second oldest daughter -Tasheema Kerr graduated from Uniondale High School. Great Job Jada and Congratulations Tasheema!

-Imani Lockwood daughter of Shomekau Brown of Long Island NY scored an 84 on her Math Regents examine and will be a senior next year at Hempstead High School. Excellent Job Imani!

- On June 25, 2009 Briana Worthington daughter of Kennetia Hill of Long Beach NY graduated from F.X. Hegarty Elementary School and will be turning ‘6’ July 17, 2009 .She also made 'Best attendance for the Year' -Happy Birthday & Congratulations Briana. Also her son Davion Thomas received a 'Soccer Tots Trophy' this year. Go Davion!

- On June 19, 2009 Kayden Parker son of Thaddius Parker of Hempstead NY graduated from Kindergarten at Roosevelt Children Academy. He will be attending 1st Grade in the fall. Congratulations Kayden!

-On June 23, 2009 Joseph Page Jr. son of Joseph Page Sr. of Hempstead NY graduated from Early Childhood Center and will be attending 1st Grade this fall. Congratulations Joseph Jr.!
